The Nakodar city police have booked two members of an in-law’s family in a dowry harassment case.
Investigating officer (IO)Rajinder Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Subash Chander a resident of Samrala Chowk, Ludhiana, and his son Sahil Kumar
Radhi Sharma daughter of Vipin Kumar a resident of Shankar Road Nakodar had filed a complaint to the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her marriage was solemnized with Subash Chandar and was harassed demanding more and more dowry.
IO said a case under Sections 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 406(breach of trust) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
