The Shahkot police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
The Station House officer (SHO) Jaswinder Singh said that 111 intoxicant tablets and Rs 2300 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jaswinder Singh son of Lal Singh a resident of Thamu Wal village.
SHO said that a case under sections 22(b)//61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and sub-inspector Pardeep Kumar is conducting further investigations.
