The Shahkot police have arrested ta villager on the charge of selling and brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Prema a resident of Sarang Wal village. 10 bottles of hooch,320 liters of lahann(raw liquor), utensils for brewing, and Rs 785 drug money were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle.
