The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers including a woman on the charge of selling heroin and intoxicant tablets.
The Station House officer (SHO) Jatinder Kumar said that 200 grams of heroin and Rs 1.5 lakh drug money ts were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurcharan Singh alias Raju son of Hoshiar Singh a resident of Rai Pur Arayian village.
SHO said that a case under sections 21(b)//61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded his Alto car in which he was traveling with the contraband.
SHO said in the second case the police arrested a woman drug peddler identified as Manjit Kaur alias Manjita wife of Jagga Singh a resident of Gatti Jhatta village under Dharam Kot police station Moga and presently living at Gounsu Wal village with 210 intoxicant tablets.
