Continuing its endeavor to provide much-needed guidance to students for opting right career, the district administration will hold the eighth edition of the two-day Spark Mela on November 29-30.
To discuss the preparations for this event, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) Major Dr Amit Mahajan, Jasbir Singh, and Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, said that the mela would be held on November 29-30 in local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium during which thousands of students expected to take part. They said that the first Spark mela was organized in December 2014 which laid the foundation to give a platform to the young students for getting guidance directly from the experts including IAS or PCS officers, Armed Forces Officials, and others. They said that most of the students remain in dilemma for choosing the right field in their lives and this event would certainly provide requisite support to them for choosing their career in a better manner. They said that various committees would be formed to make it successful.
The ADCs exhorted the educational institutions to give wholehearted support for the event.
