The Lohian Khas police have booked a Swift car driver on a charge of causing death by negligence.
Investigating officer (IO) Govinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Ranvir Singh son of Sarwann Singh a resident of Chak Bahmannia near the toll plaza
Sandeep Singh a resident of Rai Ke Kalan village under Nand Garh police station Bhatinda complained to the police that the accused was driving very fast and negligently and hit his wife Amandeep Kaur on September 15 at Nihaluwal village and seriously injured her who succumbed to her injuries on September 23
The investigating officer said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) and 279(rash driving on a public road) of the IPC has been registered against the car driver.
