The Bilga police have booked a local resident on the charge of breach of trust.
Investigating Officer (IO) Anwar Masih said that the accused has been identified as Davinder Pal Singh son of Gurdial Singh a resident of Pati Bhilai Bilga village.
Raj Kumar a resident of the same locality complained to the Jalandhar(rural) Senior Superintendent of Police that the accused working as a munshi in Phillaur courts and he gave him 11 registered land deeds of his NRI relatives with Fard Jamabandi for translating documents into English and paid him Rs 5000 as advance fee in April 2022 but the accused neither translated nor returned documents and thus cheated him.
IO said a case under section 406(breach of trust) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
