Two motorcycle-borne accused on Tuesday morning shot dead two women in Bhoje Wal village under Patara police station,
Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said in a press release that Karanjit Singh alias Jassa son Surinder Singh a resident of Hapo Wal village under Banga police station Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and his unidentified accomplice barged into to house of Ranjit Kaur wife of Jagtar Singh and shot dead her and her daughter Gurpreet Kaur wife of Jaspreet Singh a resident of Mohane Wal village in Hoshiar Pur and fled away.
SSP said that a case under sections 302 (murder) 120-B(criminal conspiracy) and 201(causing disappearance of evidence of offense,) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25/54/59 of the Ram Act has been registered against the accused and formed special teams to arrest them.
SSP said that Jaspret Singh husband of the deceased Gurpreet Kaur living in the USA is behind this murder.
