JALANDHAR
District magistrate cum Deputy commissioner Mr. Vishesh Sarangal has ordered that the Jurisdiction of Jalandhar has been declared a “No Drone Zone “ and flying of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) shall be strictly prohibited with immediate effect.
Exercising his powers, conferred upon by section 144 of criminal procedure code 1973, DM also ordered that the ban remain effective till next three months from today.
He also made it clear that police and armed forces involved in maintaining law and order and utilizing the UAV/Drones for the same purpose would have to inform the DM office prior to deploying UAV/Drones.
The commissioner of police and SSP Jalandhar (rural) shall ensure the implementation of this order.
