The Nakodar city police have arrested a local resident on the charges of attempting to murder, voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons, and rioting.
Investigating Officer (IO) Rajinder Pal Singh that the accused has been identified as Pankaj son of Ramesh Kumar a resident of Mohall Rishi Nagar,Nakodar
Aman Sondhi a resident of Rishi Nager had complained to the police that the accused attacked him with the intention to kill him on the September 10 evening in a shop in Royal Towers market and seriously injured him.
IO said that a case under sections 307(attempt to murder),324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons of means)506(criminal intimidation),148 and 149 (rioting) of the IPC, and section 25 /27/54 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and others.
