On the orders of Deputy Commissioner Faridkot, Vineet Kumar, the municipal council removed the garbage dumps for the second time today and again cleaned them and planted saplings.
It may be mentioned here that earlier also, the Faridkot Municipal Council had planted saplings after cleaning the garbage dump on the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, but some mischievous elements threw garbage at the same places and spread the waste. On the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, cleaning has been done again today.

Deputy Commissioner said that the garbage dumping sites were identified in the district, under which Ahuja Dairy near Bazigar Basti, Lal Kothi near Amar Palace, Mahikhane Mohalla dump, Balbir Basti near dump etc and have been cleaned. After that, saplings have been planted and no damage to the seedlings would be tolerated again, the DC said.


He appealed to the people to keep their surroundings clean and not throw garbage in one place. He said that if anyone is found throwing garbage, strict legal action will be taken against him.
