According to the weather advisory issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in the south-western districts of Punjab, including Sri Muktsar Sahib district, on October 15 and 16. Apart from this, on 14th and 17th of October there may be rains at some places in South West Malwa.
In view of the said advice of the meteorological department, the Deputy Commissioner of Muktsar Ruhi Dug has appealed to the farmers that they should plan the harvesting and marketing of paddy according to the said weather advice so that the crop does not get damaged. The same advice has also been given to the farmers who are picking soft.
