DC visits Mera Pind 360 center in Adampur village

 Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Friday visited the “Mera Pind 360 center” in Kotli Araiyan village operated by the social organization “ Friends of Punjab Foundation”.

Accompanied by ADC Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa,  and  Punjabi Artist Bal Mukand Sharma, Sarangal lauded the founder of NRI Bhupinder S Hundal for the initiative and said that Mera Pind 360 center was serving humanity with dedication and providing transparent, effective, and responsive governance.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to delivering various public services to the people at their doorsteps to facilitate them.

He said that the government had recently launched ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ aimed at empowering the common man by ensuring the delivery of citizen-centric services at the doorsteps of people. He said that this model of serving the people would be replicated in other areas of the district.

The social organization has been offering e-health check-ups by USA-based doctors for better healthcare of villagers, running a common service center to facilitate labour cards, health insurance cards, pension schemes, library, and skill development courses to make youngsters job-ready, and creating awareness on modern farming methods.

The deputy commissioner also had a word with the students who shared their experience of learning various skills for self-employment. The deputy commissioner also asked DBEE to provide all kinds of assistance to the trainees to establish their businesses, enabling them to play a more significant role in the overall development of the rural areas in the state.
