Deputy Commissioner of Police Ankur Gupta has issued orders under 144 sections of CRPC to the owners of parking zones to install close circuit television cameras (CCTVs) in the premises,
The order said that apart from installing the CCTV cameras, the owners of parking lots should keep the recording for 45 days and submit it to the police after every 15 days. The orders also carried instructions that cameras should be of good quality, which will be installed to capture clear pictures of the person parking a vehicle. The orders also stated that the parking lots' owners should keep a register in which details of a person parking the vehicle should be recorded along with photocopies of their driver's license.
Gupta also banned the modification of silencers of Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles. He has ordered to the people/PG owners to get police verification done of their tenants. Further, the landlords and factory owners were also ordered to submit details, along with photographs, of their servants at the nearest Police Sanjh Kendra. He said that people who do not follow these orders will face legal action.
All these orders would remain in force till January 13, 2024.
