JALANDHAR
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Thursday took stock of the progress made on various works started under the Smart City project.
MC Commissioner Rishipal Singh and Jalandhar Smart City Limited representatives were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner held detailed discussions on various projects including the integrated command and control center (ICCC), sports Hub at Burlton Park, rooftop solar on government buildings, and others and asked them to keep a personal vigil on the execution of the projects for timely completion.
While issuing strict instructions to them, Sarangal stated that he would personally monitor the progress of all works under the Smart City project and warned that strict action would be taken against officials if there is any lapse on their behalf.
He further said that the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government was committed to carrying out the overall development of the state. He said the projects would be completed on a priority basis and within the set timeframe.
