The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
The investigating officer (IO)Bhajan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sital Singh alias Sodhi son of Jeet Chand a resident of Sardarwala village.
Sarabjit Kaur wife of Gurcharan Singh a resident of the same village had complained that she was going to her fields to bring fodder when the accused followed her and assaulted tore her clothes and threatened her on December 17, 2022.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 341(wrongful restraint) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused and his brother.
