The Bilga police have arrested a villager on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
Investigating officer (IO) Anwar Masih said that the accused has been identified as Rohit Kumar alias Pindu son of Mulakh Raj a resident of Talwann village.
Arjan a resident of the same village has complained to the police that the accused attacked him with a sharp weapon seriously injured him on September 13 and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against the accused. and section 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) has been added to the FIR and recovered a sharp-edged weapon from his possession.
