NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a Nakodar resident on the charge of assaulting a woman.
Investigating officer (IO)Rannjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Pardeep Singh a resident of Mohalla Kamal Pura.
Anu wife of Surinder Singh a resident of Khurla Kingra village in Jalandhar has complained to the police that she and her husband went to her parental house in Mohalla Kamal Pura, Nakodar to meet her father on September 12 when the accused and his wife attacked and seriously injured her.
IO said that a case under sections 323, 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
