NAKODAR
The Nakodar city has arrested an Aadam Pur villager on the charge of murdering a Nakodar local youth identified as Robin son of Arjan a resident of Basti Bajigar, Mohalla Rehman Pura, Nakodar.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukhpal Singh and Station House Officer (SHO) Satpal said that the accused has been identified as Hari Pal son of Pritam a resident of Bias village under Aadam Pur police station.
Arajn father of the deceased complained to the police that the accused murdered his son and threw his body in a well situated in a field of Lakhvir Singh of Mohalla, Rehrrwan.
He said in his complaint that his elder son went for an evening walk as routine on September 21 but did not return home.
Arjan said they searched for Robin but to no avail and on September 23 mohalla residents gave information about the body of a youth in a well.
He said that they pulled a body out and informed the police who proceeded under section 174 of Cr. P.C and the body were cremated after post-mortem.
The father of the deceased said that now he has learned that his son Robin did not die a natural death but was murdered and his body was thrown in a well and action should be taken against him.
SHO said that a case under section 302(murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Hari Pal. SHO said that both the deceased and the accused were drinking liquor on September 23 near the well and they began quarreling and Hari Pal pulled Robin and threw him into the well who died.
