The crime branch of the Jalandhar (rural) police has arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin. Investigating officer (IO)Bhupinder Singh said that 300 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Sunil alias Jiunna son of Balbir Singh a resident of Mandala village and Paan Kumar alias Pamma son of Sandeep Kumar a resident of Dhumanna village.
IO said that a case under sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounder of a car in which they were traveling with the contraband.
IO said many cases of drug peddling are pending against the accused in different police stations.
