6 booked incluing three bank employees for abetment to suicide of a Farikdot village youth

6 perons, incluing the manager of the Grmain bank branch near a private school, have been booked allegedly for the abetmnet to suicide of Farikdot village youth.

The police have registered a case against Gursewak Singh son of Gurmej Singh, a travel agent, Gurmej Singh Singh son of Pritam Singh and Jasvir Kaur wife of Gurmej Singh, all residents of village Ratti Rori and members of one family.

Besides them, the police have also booked Kanika Agarwal, manager of Punjab Gramin Bank Branch, near Baba Farid school, its cashier Bharti Goyal and another employee Jaspal Singh.

The case has been registered at police station Sadar Faridkot on the complaint of Jagseer Singh son of Sher Singh, a resident of village Dana Romana.

According to the FIR, Kuldeep Singh, son of Jagseer Singh had been working in the bank.

In the year 2020, he had allegedly paid Rs 1 lakh cash and 2.5 lakh through bank to the accused no 1 to 3, for getting him a visa to go abroad,but they neither returned his money nor got him visa to go abroad.

As per the statement to the police, the complainant alleged that he was depressed after he was humiliated and discharged from his duty from the said bank by the accused employees about 8 months back.

The police have also recovered a suicide note from the purse of the deceased, who committed suicide by hanging from a tree.

The deceased,40 years old, has been survived by two 8 and 10 years children and his wife.

The accused have been booked under section 306(abetment to suicide) and 120 B of IPC9criminal conspiracy).Further investigation is on.
