Deputy commissioner Faridkot visits the three schools of Eminence in district

Vineet Kumar, DC Faridkot on Thursday visited the three schools of Eminence in Faridkot.

The visit was meant to check the schools and remove any shortcomings cropped up during the visit.

There are 3 such schools in the three assembly segments in the district providing the high quality education to about 3442 students.

The teacher-student ratio is no more than 35 in the classroom in these schools.

“The Punjab government has opened 117 schools of eminence in the state which are fully equipped with modern teaching-learning infrastructure.The students are admitted to these schools on the basis of an entrance test in class 9th and 11th. The students are also taken to the tours of education values wherever they are held in the state or the country.The students from the Faridkot schools were taken to the Punjab assembly in the past to see the work of the legislature. Besides it, they were also made to closely study about the launch and functioning of the Chandaryan-3, a great achievement by ISRO,” said Vineet Kumar,DC Faridkot during the visit.

He also shared his valuable tips with the students about the studies helpful in a highly competitive world.

He was accompanied by DPRO Gurdeep Singh Mann,Mewa Singh Sidhu,DEO and other officials.
