A total of 2814 Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs have been created in 55 camps organized so far by the district administration under the fortnightly Ayushman Bhava campaign (From September 17 to October 2) in the district, said Vishesh Sarangal, Deputy Commissioner.
Reviewing the status of camps held so far, the Deputy Commissioner said that a total of 147 camps would be held in the campaign throughout the district.
In the camps, ABHA IDs of all individuals above 5 years are being created, allowing users to share their health records digitally with hospitals, clinics, and others. He said that ABHA IDs would help digitize users' health records and eliminate the hassle of carrying physical copies to doctor visits. He said that ABHA would facilitate the users to collect lifetime records in a digital account.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that ASHA workers could now also make Ayushman Bharat-Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-MMSBY) cards by doing the E-KYC of the beneficiaries for which they have undergone training. He said that the people could also register themselves and create their own AB-MMSBY card through the Ayushman app. He said that the Punjab government was committed to providing health facilities to the last person standing in the row. On October 2, awareness activities at the village level about health, hygiene, and nutrition will be organized in the Ayushman Sabha component of the campaign. Awareness activities regarding non-communicable diseases (NCD) screening, immunization, TB, etc. are also being carried out and blood donation camps besides pledges for Organ Donation are also being ensured in the camps.
