Lohian Khas
The Lohian Khas police initiated a proceeding under section 174 of the CR.P.C in connection with the death of a 55-year-old person who was swept away in flood water as his body has been found.
Investigating officer (IO) Balwinder Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Harmesh Singh son of Kishan Singh a resident of Gatta Mundi Kassu village.
Dharam Preet Singh brother of the deceased told the police that his brother had drowned in recent floods and a body had been found.
IO said the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
