NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked two thieves on the charge of stealing iron rods from a village gurdwara.
The investigating officer (IO) said that the accused have been identified as Kantu son of Darshan Kali a resident of Chak Kalan village and his brother Seepa .
Surinder Pal Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused broke open the lock of the main gate of Gurdwara on 20 August night and stole iron rods from there.
IO said that a case under sections 457(housebreaking by night to commit an offense punishable with imprisonment) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
