The Shahkot police have a drug peddler on the charge of selling opium.
Investigating officer (IO) Balkar Singh said that 700 grams of opium were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Harjinder Singh son of Ajit Singh a resident of Malli Wal village.
IO said that a case under section 18(b) 61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a car (PB13-AT-6419) and an electronic weighing scale.
