The Lohian Khas police have arrested two villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
Investigating officer (IO)Balwinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Binder Singh and his brother Sarabjit Singh residents of Raee Wal Bet village.
Charan Singh a resident of the same village has complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him in his fields seriously injured him on August 23 and threatened him with dire consequences. He said land demarcation was the reason behind the attack.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324 325 (voluntarily causing grievous) 341(wrongful restraint), 506(criminal intimidation ), and 34( committing the crime with common intention ) of the IPC was registered against the accused, and section 201 ( causing disappearance of evidence of offense, ) of the IPC has been added in the FIR.
