Jaitu Police have booked Nirmal Singh, allegedly a drug addict besides his nephew(Bhanja) Noordeep Singh for the murder of Sandeep Kaur, the wife of the prime accused Nirmal Singh.
A case under section 302 and 34 of IPC has been registered against the two at police station Jaitu.
Nirmal Singh is the resident of Hargobind Nagar Jaitu while Noordeep Singh is a resident of Sedha Singh Wala near Bajakhana.
The case has been registered on the statement of Shinder Singh,a resident of village Jalal of Bathinda, brother of the deceased who has alleged that Nirmal Singh is a drug addict and used to often beat his sister for extorting money to buy drugs.
According to him, the deceased worked to look after her children.
He has alleged that the days before the death she was assaulted by Nirmal Singh and next morning, Nirmal Singh and his nephew Noordeep again beat her up and they injured her in the left side of her breast with some sharp edged weapon, which resulted in her death.
The police have arrested Nirmal Singh while other accused is still on the run.
