The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charges of destroying a woman farmer’s standing crops and threatening his family.
Investigating Officer (IO) Uggi police post-in-charge Pardeep Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Charanjit Singh son of
Arwinder Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused forcibly ploughed his mother’s standing crops on August 3 with an intention to encroach it and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 447(criminal trespass), 427 (mischief), and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
