The Nakodar city police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching a woman's mobile phone.
Station House Officer (SHO) Satpal Sidhu said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet son of Joginder Pal and Badshah Khan son of Pal Mohamad residents of Pandori Khas village
Jagraj Kaur wife of Jagroop Singh a resident of Basti Jodhe Wal, Ludhiana complained to the police that she came to Nakodar to pay obeisance at a Dera on August 31 and was limping due to a foot problem when the accused Gurpreet offered her a lift to go to a bone specialist and snatched her smart phone at a point of a sharp-edged weapon near Reharri Market.
SHO said that Gurpreet told the police during interrogation that he sold the snatched phone to Badshah .
SHO said that a case under sections 379-B(snatching ) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and produced them in a court which remanded them to one-day police custody and recovered the snatched phone from their possession.
