Three drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act


 NAKODAR /NURMAHAL

 The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin. 

Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukh Pal Singh said that 50 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jagroop Singh son of Harmail Singh a resident of Bhikhi Wind town in Tarn Taran and his brother Jagroop Singh.

 DSP said that a case under sections 21(B)29/ 61/85 of the NDPS Act and 379 (theft) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and impounded a car (DL-06CS-8616) in which they were traveling with the contraband which was stolen by Gurjant Singh from Larance Road Amritsar.

DSP said that Gurmant told the police during interrogation that he was going to sell 30 grams of heroin and a car for Rs 2 Lakh to Gurpal alias Pala of Nurmahal and 20 grams to Gurmukh Singh alias Gora son of Karnail Singh a resident of Ganna Pind village and his elder brother Harchand Singh has given this heroin to sell further and both have been nominated in this case

 

 

DSP said that the Nurmahal police arrested a notorious drug peddler Gurpal Ram alias Pala (58) son of Meet Ram a resident of Mohalla Rangahrra Nurmahal with 5 grams of heroin and 300 intoxicant tablets(loose).
