The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charges of rash driving and causing hurt by an act endangering life.
Investigating officer (IO) Jasvir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Kiran Kumar a resident of Mohalla Bogharra, Nakodar.
Avtar Singh a resident of Ludhiana city complained to the police that he was going to Nakoda driving his auto (PB-21-D-1472) with some passengers on August 24 when the accused driving his vehicle very rashly and negligently and hit auto near Nawan Pind Shaunkiyan village on the Nurmahal Nakodar road which overturned injuring him and passengers.
IO said that a case under sections 279(rash driving on the public highway), 338(causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
