JALANDHAR
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today urged the people of Jalandhar to take maximum advantage of the 'Bill Liyao, Inaam Pao' scheme, an exclusive initiative by the Punjab Government to encourage the people to collect bills from dealers after purchase of goods.
The scheme will be implemented from September 1st, 2023 under which people would be able to avail the benefits up to Rs. 29 lakh PM as the draw will be held on the 7th day of every month.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the objective of this scheme was to encourage consumers to collect bills from dealers while purchasing goods. He said that this scheme will prove helpful in making the consumers aware to get the bill from the dealers at the time of purchase.
Inviting the residents of Jalandhar to register by downloading the 'Mera Bill' app on their phones to take advantage of this scheme, the Deputy Commissioner said that consumers could participate in the lucky draw by uploading the purchase bill on the 'Mera Bill app. The bill must have a minimum value of Rs.200.
Sale bills of petroleum products and liquor will not be eligible for the draw. As per the scheme, 290 prizes will be given every month across the state and 10 prizes will be given in each district, he added.
