55 Aam Aadmi Clinics treat 2.97 lakh patients.

 Over 2.97 lakh patients have been treated and 52307 diagnostics tests conducted by 55 Aam Aadmi Clinics (AACs) in the district from August 15, 2022, to August 28, 2023.

Among 55 such centres, 17 AACs were dedicated to the people on August 14 this year where 9032 patients have availed the treatment. A total of 2020 lab tests have also been carried out in these new health centres.

Divulging more details, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that the health sector was witnessing a new revolution with the opening of Aam Aadmi Clinics as people were receiving quality medical facilities closer to their homes without any cost.

He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was according to topmost priority to health and administration was making consistent efforts to serve the people. He said that the people had given an overwhelming response to Aam Aadmi Clinics which had in turn reduced the load of the patients on the government hospitals.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the paperless system of treating patients was also helping to give authentic data about patients and the situation of the area. He also informed that 11 more such ultra-modern clinics will be opened in the district in the coming months.

Regarding footfall in 17 new clinics, Sarangal said that AAC Garha had logged the maximum of 827 OPD patients followed by AAC Dada Colony (738 OPD patients), AAC Domoria Pull (717), and AAC Reru Pind (708).
