Jalandhar to get 11 more Aam Aadmi Clinics

JALANDHAR
With the overwhelming response to the 55 Aam Aadmi Clinics (AACs) in Jalandhar, the state government is all set to open 11 more such health facilities to offer free healthcare at the doorsteps of people, in the district.
Participating in a virtual conference presided over by Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that under the 5th phase, 11 more AACs will be dedicated to the people which will take the tally of such operational clinics to 66 in the district. He said that 55 AACs were successfully operating in various parts of the district and providing free world-class treatment and diagnostic facilities to the people, closer to their homes. These ultra-modern clinics have been offering 38 types of clinical tests for free and 94 different medicines to patients without any cost. He also said that the top priority had been accorded to the health sector by the state government and the opening of 11 AACs in the coming days, will further strengthen the health services.
Further, the Deputy Commissioner also informed to Health Minister that the district administration was working round the clock to tackle the dengue, and the larva-checking drive was already intensified to check its spread. DC said that health teams had surveyed 227498 houses and other places to check larvae breeding in the district since January 23, 2023. Mosquito larvae have been found in as many as 970 places and 91 challans have been issued to the violators. He said that larvae had been found for the first time in most of the houses; therefore, violators had been given a strict warning that action would be taken on finding the larvae again.
In the end, Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh appreciated the efforts of the district administration and health department.
