The Nakodar Sadar police have booked two travel agents on the charge of cheating breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.
Station House Officer (SHO) G.S.Nagra said that the accused has been identified as Gurdeep Singh alias Nikka son of Gurdass Singh a resident of Kotla Jangan village and Harmesh Chand alias Fauji son of Bishambar Dass a resident of Bopa Rai Kalan village
Hardeep Singh a resident of Dara Pur village under Aadam Pur police station complained to Jalandhar
(rural) SSP that he gave Rs.2.20 lakh to the accused for sending him abroad. But he was
neither sent abroad nor was his money returned. SHO said a case under
section 406 (breach of trust) 420 (cheating)and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional Act have been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
