The Lohian Khas police have booked a villager on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
Investigating officer (IO) Iqbal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Lakhvir Singh a resident of Jamsher village
Rafik Lal a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on August 19 pushed him into a paddy field attacked him with stones and injured and threatened him.
IO said that a case under sections 2323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) 341(wrongful restraint) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
