The Nakodar Sadar police have booked ten persons on the charges of firing, attempting to murder, and criminal conspiracy.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Dilwar Singh son of Rakesh Kumar a resident of Sahem village, Navi son of Rakesh Kumar and Ravinder Pal son of Ravi of Mandla village under Lohian Khas police station, Sunil Kumar alias Kalu Katta son of Bittu of Singh Pur Dona village, Arash Deep alas Shera son of Raj Kumar of Fakhru Wal village under Shahkot police station, Iqbal Singh and Vijay Mantri son of Makhan Singh and Sekhar son of Daulat Ram all residents of Kalyan Pur village under Lambrra police station, Sandeep Kumar alias Dilli son of Ravinder Kumar a resident of Rasul Pur Kalan village and Manni a resident of Abadan village under Lambrra police station.
Sharan Deep a resident of Nawan Pind village under Sadar Kapurthala police station complained to the police that he along with his companions were going to Seham village on August 27 late evening when the accused armed with firearms and sharp-edged weapons attacked them with the intention to kill and seriously injured them.
DSP said a case under sections 307(attempt to murder) 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons) 341(wrong full restraint) 506(criminal; intimidation) 148 and 149(rioting) and 120-B(criminal conspiracy ) of the IPC and sections 25/27 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
