The Nurmahal police have two accused on the charge of snatching a woman’s chain in the temple premises.
Investigating Officer Amarik Lal said that the accused have been identified as Sukhdev Lal son of Surjit Lal a resident of Parjian Khurd village under Shahkot police station and Rajan alias Raju son of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Shamsha Bad village
Jayoti daughter of Manohar Lal a resident of Mohalla Gujjran, Nurmahal has complained to the police that she was going to pay her obeisance in Baba Bhoot Nath temple with her sister-in-law on the August 17 evening when an unidentified accused entered from the main gate and snatched her gold chain and fled away on a motorcycle driven by his accomplice.
Investigating Officer Amrik Lal said a case under sections 379-B (snatching) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused and recovered a snatched gold chain and sharp-edged weapon from their possession.
