JALANDHAR
With an aim to enhance the revenue of the Punjab Government as well as to safeguard the interests of people, District collector-cum- Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal has issued new collector rates for the district Jalandhar. These new rates will be applicable from August 28, 2023, for the year 2023-24 which has an average 10% increase.
District collector, In pursuance of the powers conferred under Rule 3-A of the Punjab Stamp (Dealing of Undervalued Instrument) Rules,
1983, the minimum value of Land/Property located in District Jalandhar for the year 2023-2024 locality-wise and category-wise
for the purpose of levying stamp duty on instruments of transfer of any property has been fixed as per Government Instructions.
Sarangal also said that these rates were fixed as per the recommendations made by the revenue officials after consulting with the other stakeholders to save the interest of the masses. He also asked the revenue officials to aware of the people about new rates besides putting up banners/ notices by mentioning the new rates for registration of property.
