NAKODAR
Nakodar Sadar police station house officer (SHO) Gurinder Jit Singh Nagra was bereaved as his father Balwant Sigh Nagra (77) and resident of Khan Pur (Kaputhala) village passed on Thursday.
He was cremated at Khan Pur village under Subhan Pur police station on Friday.
Balwant Singh Nagra had retired from the Indian Army and joined the Punjab Police served its sports wing as a coach (hammer throw) and represented the Punjab Police in national and international tournaments. He was born in Pakistan.
Bhog and Antim Ardass of Balwant Singh Nagra will be held in Khan Pur village Gurdwara on September 2.
Jalandhar(rural) SSP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, Nakodar DSP Sukhpal Singh, and City SHO Baljit Singh have condoled the death of Balwant Singh Nagra.
