Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today asked the administrative officials to distribute the compensation to those who have suffered losses due to floods in the district on war footing.
Sarangal said that the SDMs and revenue officials in flood-affected areas should ensure the transfer of compensation amount via DBT to the bank accounts of the affected farmers within a week.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Chief Secretary Anurag Verma, and Special Chief Secretary (Finance) K.A.P Sinha participated through VC to review the ongoing process regarding the distribution of compensation for crops damaged due to floods, the Deputy Commissioner said that efforts were on to complete the entire work related to the distribution of compensation as soon as possible so that the loss caused to the people can be compensated quickly.
Mr. Sarangal said that according to the instructions of the Punjab government, the higher officials are personally monitoring the entire process so that no affected person is deprived of getting compensation.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Amit Mahajan, District Revenue Officer Arvind Prakash, and others were also present in the VC.
