Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Dr. Amit Mahajan on Thursday felicitated freedom fighter Prem Sagar (99). He was an active member of the Quit India Movement popularly known as Bharat Chhodo Andolan, launched by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi against British rule in August 1942. Sagar had also served a seven-month sentence in Lahore Central Jail.
The ADC said the entire nation would remain indebted to freedom fighter Prem Sagar who had faced several hardships to defend the country’s unity and integrity. He also enquired about his health and well-being.
