The Nakodar city police have arrested a prominent doctor on the charge of outraging a minor girl’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Inspector Seema said that the accused has been identified as Sunil Tondon son of Harmesh Tondon a resident of Mohalla Tondonan, Nakodar
Father of the victim complained to the police that his minor daughter is studding medical subjects in her +1 class and went to doctor’s clinic for study where the accused touched her inappropriately on a stretcher on the pretext of teaching her physiotherapy.
Complainant said when he went to doctor’s house for complaining the accused assaulted him also.
IO said that a case under section 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code and section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO)Act 2019 has been registered against the accused who was produced in a court which remanded him to judicial custody.
