The Lohian Khas police have booked three motorcyclists on charges of causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others, rash driving on the public road, and mischief.
Investigating officer (IO) Bhajan Singh said that the accused have been identified as Malkit Singh son of Dalvir Singh, Sohann Singh son of Harbhajan Singh, and Wadda son of Sher Singh residents of Mundi Chohlian village.
Manjit Kaur wife of Nirmal Singh a resident of Mandala Chhana village complained to the police that she was pillion riding her husband on July 22 and when reached Mundi Sheharian Bandh the accused driving their motorcycle very fast and negligently and making noise hit their motorcycle and seriously injured them.
IO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public roads) 337 and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against three accused.
