The Nakodar Sadar police have booked an unidentified canter driver on a charge of causing death by negligence.
Bakhshish Singh a resident of Chhohle village complained to the police that his nephew Sukhjit Singh a policeman was coming to Nakodar on August 12 morning when an unidentified canter driver hit his motorcycle near Kang Sahibu village and killed him.
Investigating Officer Janak Raj said that a case under sections 304-(causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against an unidentified canter driver.
