Three travel agents booked for duping four persons of Rs23.30 Lakhs.

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three travel agents for allegedly duping four persons of Rs 23.30 lakhs on the pretext of sending them abroad.

Station House Officer (SHO) Gurinder Jeet Singh Nagra said that the accused have been identified as Amrinder Singh Bhatti son of Sukhpal Singh a resident of Dashmesh Nagar Moga presently living in the USA Paramjit Singh a resident of Sangal Sohal village under Maqsudan police station presently living in the USA and Mangal Singh son of Manjit Singh a resident of Bahmannia village under Shahkot police station

 

SHO said Harpreet Singh Kailla a resident of Shidham Station Wale village and three other victims complained to Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) that they had paid Rs 23.30 lakhs to the accused for facilitating their migration abroad. However, they neither sent them abroad nor returned the money.

 

SHO said a case under Sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy )of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused, and assistant sub-inspector Janak Raj is investigating further.
