The Shahkot police have booked three persons on the charges of destroying a farmer’s stating crops and threatening him.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balvir Chand said that the accused have been identified as Teja Singh a resident of Punia village, his son Daljit Singh, and Swaran Singh of the same village.
Satnam Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused forcibly ploughed his stating crops on May 14 and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 447(criminal trespass), 427 (mischief),506(criminal intimidation ) and 34(committing a crime with the common intention of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
