Will make Punjab as dreamt by martyrs: Balkar Singh

 

 

NAKODAR
Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Thursday said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would make Punjab of martyrs' dreams and take the state to new heights of growth and glory.

After paying floral tributes at the statue of Shaheed Kartar Singh Babbar, the Minister, addressing the people gathered to commemorate the 85th Shaheedi Samagam, Singh said that our country would remain indebted to the martyrs for their supreme sacrifice. He said that Shaheed Kartar Singh Babbar had laid down his life for the country which would act as a beacon to inspire the youth to serve the nation. He also exhorted the people to emulate the high ideas of martyrs for the development of the country.

Singh said that it was a bounden duty of the state government to fulfil the dreams of great martyrs and mentioned that we had made a commitment with the people to ensure clean and transparent governance which is being fulfilled with the war against corruption.

He also highlighted other achievements of the AAP government under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, Aam Aadmi Clinics, 30000 government jobs given to the youths, and several other pro-people decisions which were taken for the state.

Later, he also announced Rs 5 lakh for the development works in the village. He also asked to take up the matter of renaming of Chak-Kalan to Shankar Road and dispensary after the name of Martyr Lachhman Singh with respect to departments.

Nakodar MLA Inderjeet Kaur Mann and other officials were also present on the occasion.
