The Bilga police have booked a woman councilor and three others on the charges of obstructing Nagar Panchayat (NP)officials from performing their duties, criminal trespass, and intimidation.
Investigating Officer (IO) Nachhatar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Puja members of Bilga Nagar Panchayat and wife of Naresh Kumar, Naresh Kumar’ son of Sukhraj, Manju Bala wife of Chaman Lal, Ravi Mohan son of Sukhraj all residents of Bilga village and their some unidentified accomplices.
Bilga Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Ranndhir Singh complained to the police that the accused obstructed NP officials from performing their duties who went to vacate NP land and quarreled with them and threatened them and damaged NP property.
IO said a case under sections 186(obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions)447(criminal trespass) 506(criminal intimidation) 427(mischief) 511(attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life,) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
